About Women of Destiny South Africa
A faith-rooted, community-centered non-profit organization committed to uplifting, empowering, and uniting women from all walks of life.
Our Story
Women of Destiny South Africa (WODZA) is a faith-rooted, community-centered non-profit organization committed to uplifting, empowering, and uniting women from all walks of life. Founded in 2009 by Ms. Naledi Senye, WODZA was birthed out of a deep desire to respond to the pain and struggles faced by women, particularly those in underserved and disadvantaged communities.
What began as informal gatherings in the founder's living room has grown into a movement—a sisterhood—anchored in love, service, and the belief that when you empower a woman, you empower a nation.
Hailing from the village of Rusfontein in Kuruman, Northern Cape, Naledi's journey is one of resilience, faith, and calling. With professional experience in government supply chain and a heart inclined toward the upliftment of others, she established WODZA not as a charity, but as a safe space where women could rediscover their strength, worth, and potential.
The organization was built on the African philosophy of ubuntu—"I am because we are"—which continues to guide every initiative, every conversation, and every outreach project undertaken. WODZA embraces women from all backgrounds, regardless of race, social class, religion, or status.

Meet the Founder

Ms. Naledi Senye
Founder & Managing Director
"I was born in a small rural village called Rusfontein, Kuruman in the Northern Cape. I have a degree from the then University of Bophuthatswana (currently known as North West University in Mafikeng) – I'm now a full-time government supply chain specialist."
"I'm a mother, daughter, sister and a loving friend to many. I was raised with the ethos of ubuntu (humility). From a very early age, I was taught by my grandmother that 'motho ke motho ka batho ba bangwe', which loosely translates into 'no man is an island'. This somehow encouraged me to lend a hand every time I came into contact with people in need."
"Women of Destiny is my life, it was founded as an avenue to do something and not just sit afar and watch the sufferings and trauma that women go through. It is there to usher in hope founded on the truth that you are not alone, even when you feel this way."
